The Provincial Highway Administration of Mendoza, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, hired AC&A for the improvement works at the corridor of the Provincial Route 82 in the department of Luján de Cuyo with a total length of 8 kilometers between La Tijera and the Gobernador Ortiz roundabout.
The project includes the improvement and doubling of the road width to turn the route into an urban highway with two lanes in each direction. It will also include paved shoulders, sidewalks, service roads, lighting, horizontal markings and proper vertical signage as well as traffic distributors, a two-way bicycle path along the entire length of the road and the construction of new stops for public transport.
The main objective of this project is to improve the access to the provincial capital city, improving highway safety, reducing travel times and travel costs and boosting regional development.
